When I first visited Latvia, I was welcomed and accepted. Although the city and its people were new to me, I felt like I was returning to a familiar place. Latvia is a special place where the old and new world meet. While rooted in their cultural history, Latvians continuously integrate modern ideals and welcome them into their identity. I have grown to love this country and more importantly its people.

Vilandes Baptist Church

Girts Ašnevics (Lead Pastor) and his wife Inta have adopted me into their church family and have welcomed me into their home. I have had the pleasure of spending much time with them and their family travelling all over the country: learning about what God has done through his people and what the future they want to be a part of!

Young Adults

Lelde Keice is the youth and young adult minister at Vilandes. Under her guidance, i will be working with on the metro ministry team. I known Lelde for some years and one of many things that stand out about her is her commitment to sharing the gospel with young people. She devoted her life and work to that purpose and I am excited to help her lead young hearts, all over Latvia, to Christ!

#Friendship

Toms and I have been friends for close to ten year and he still seems to surprise me. We have always talked about me moving to Latvia and doing ministry together; now that dream has become reality. Toms and I will be serving on the worship ministry team at Vilandes Baptist. We have many friends who are in ministry all over Riga and plan on being a part of what God is doing throughout the city. I am excited to work along side him and his beautiful wife, Antra, in Latvia.

Cerību Street

Tabita Asnevica has a heart for the children of Riga, of Latvia, and all the children around the world. She leads the Ceribu Street Ministry witch seeks to create a space where children, who are not provided basic necessities such as proper clothing, daily meals, and stable adult relationships, can come and have their needs met. I plan on following Tabita’s leadership and doing whatever is needed to impact the lives of the children and their families.
